Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain a recording carrier capable of enhancing the recording density per unit area in comparison with the recording density of a recording carrier for which a recording system of nano order (0.1 to 100nm) is merely adopted. CONSTITUTION: This recording carrier has at least two layers of parallel recording material layers 80, 70 spreading in a surface shape. First recording units 13a, 13b having sizes of micron order within the range of 1 to 100μm are lined up and formed in a surface direction within the prescribed regions of the one recording material layer 80, by which the first recording information is recorded. Second recording units 14, 14,... having sizes of micron order within the range of 0.1 to 100nm are lined up and formed in the surface direction in the regions overlapping on the regions of the other recording material layer 70 where the first recording information is recorded, by which the second recording information is recorded.
