Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-image forming printing machine re-electrifying a photoreceptor to the uniform level and minimizing the residual toner voltage in the previously toned region. SOLUTION: This printing machine contains a charge holding face 10 and corona generating devices 36, 51, 61 arranged adjacently to it. The corona generating devices 36, 51, 61 contain electrodes 35, 81, 85, voltage control faces 37, 80, 84, and voltage sources 33, 82, 86 connected to the electrodes 35, 81, 85 and the voltage control faces 37, 80, 84 respectively. The voltage sources 33, 82, 86 apply AC voltages to the electrodes 35, 81, 85 and reduce the residual image voltage related to a developed image. The corona generating devices 36, 51, 61 feed output currents through the voltage control faces 37, 80, 84 and the charge holding face 10. The graph of the output current to the charge holding face 10 as the function of the difference between the voltages of the voltage control faces 37, 80, 84 and the voltage of the charge holding face 10 has a high-rate slope, the charge holding face 10 is re-electrified to the prescribed substantially uniform voltage level, and the next development on the charge holding face 10 is optimized.
