PULSE MEASURING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To count a plurality of pulses easily using a single pulse input unit by employing a preset counter (PCT) for each pulse generator and accepting the number of requested pulses to be measured as a piece of request information from a computer. CONSTITUTION: A measurement acceptance means 1 accepts the number of requested pulses and the starting information of a computer upon finishing the measurement from the computer and notifies them to a pulse measuring means 2. The measuring means 2 registers the request on a pulse management table 3 and if the currently accepted request has the minimum number of residual pulses among the requests to the same PCT 6, the gate thereof is turned off temporarily in order to interrupt the accumulation. The count at that time is subtracted from the number of residual pulses of each request in the measurement registered on the table 3. An alarm value is set for a newly notified request and the gate of the PCT 6 is turned on. If the currently accepted request has not the minimum number of residual pulses among the requests to same PCT 6, the currently accumulated count is subtracted from the requested count and registered on the table 3.
