INSECTICIDAL MITICIDE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having synergistically improved insecticidal and miticidal activities by using a conventional 2-phenylpropyl ether derivative having insecticidal and miticidal activities in combination with a 3-tetrahydrofurylethyl derivative which is a new compound having insecticidal activity. CONSTITUTION: This insecticidal miticide composition is produced by mixing a 2-phenylpropyl ether derivative of formula I (R) is ethoxy or difluorobromomethoxy) with a new 3-tetrahydrofurylmethyl derivative of formula II (R2 to R5 are each H or a lower alkyl). The new compound of formula II can be produced e.g. by reacting a compound of formula II (X) is amino, a 1-5C alkoxy, a 1-5C alkylthio or benzylthio) with a compound of formula IV. The agrochemical preparation produced from the composition preferably contains 0.01-90wt.% (especially 0.1-50wt.%) of the compound of formula I and 0.0001-90wt.% (especially 0.01-50wt.%) of the compound of formula II. The total of the active components is preferably 1-1,000g per 1ha in the case of applying the composition to farm crops.
