PALLET STACKING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To position the placing part of a placing table at the level according to the height of stacking accurately and easily. CONSTITUTION: A discharge device 14 is installed on a discharge conveyor which transports empty palets P from an automated warehouse, and a stacking device 15 is furnished beside the discharge device 14. Empty pallets P are grouped by the device 14 into steel pallets Pa and wooden pallets Pw, and the latter Pw are stacked one over another on the stacking device 15. The device 15 is fitted with a placing table 23 for wooden pallets Pw, and the table 23 is elevated and sunk by a motor-driven actuator 25. The stacking device 15 is furnished with a level sensor 26 at the level according to the height of stacking. That is, when the level sensor 26 senses the over-surface of the overmost one of the stacked wooden pallets Pw in elevating and sinking of the table 23, the over-surface is located at the level according to the height of stacking. At this time, it is practicable to stack wooden pallets Pw from the discharge device 14 on the placing table 23.
