STAR WHEEL DEVICE

PURPOSE: To allow working well with varying diameter of the vessel without replacement of star wheel by arranging so that the first and the second finger apply to a small diameter vessel when a rod is moved to outside the wheel and that they apply to A large diameter vessel when the rod is moved toward the wheel center. CONSTITUTION: Finger couples 4 each consisting of the first and the second finger 2, 3 are installed on a disc-shaped wheel 1 at a certain spacing in the circumferential direction. The finger 2 is equipped with a base 2a having a swing center C1 at one end and a supporting part 2b which has supporting points S1, S2 to support a vessel 5 (5A, 5B) in the middle and at the other end and continues to the base 2a. The finger 3 is formed symmetrically to the mating finger 2 about the wheel center L. A cam plate 9 is rotated with rotation of a gear 10, and thereby a follower 8 is moved within a groove 9a formed in the cam plate 9, and the vessel 5 is grasped by swinging the fingers 2, 3 through rods 7.
