Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To detect whether or not a cover is surely cut off when the covering continuously extending over the outer surface of pipe bodies butted against each other is cut off in the joint of the pipe bodies by a cutting machine and the pipe body located in the downstream is clamped by a clamp and separated therefrom. CONSTITUTION: A covering is cut off at the joint of pipe bodies 11 by a cutting machine 10 and the pipe body 11 located in the downstream is clamped by a clamp 18 and separated. A roller 18 mounting the pipe body 11 located in the downstream of the cutting machine 10 is provided. The separation of the covering is detected by detecting the rotation of the roller 18 when a cutting completion signal or clamp separation signal is received from the cutting machine.
