Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To reduce a human-hand work by taking off a picking tab from a cam cover with a tab taking-off device, positioning an opening part of the can cover with a positioning device and measuring the depth of a score of the can cover with a score-residual measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION: The can cover 1 is laid on a can cover supplying device 300. The can cover shifting device 600 supplies the can cover 1 to a tab taking-off device 300. The tab taking-off device 300 is held by matching the center of the device 300 and the center of the can cover 1. A mold drill arranged at the lower part of a tab taking-off device 300 is ascended while rotating to cut off the tab at the center of the can cover 1. The shifting device 600 shifts the can cover 1 to the positioning device 400. The positioning device 400 rotates the can cover 1 and two projecting parts on the can cover 1 are detected with a laser beam and the opening part of the can cover 1 is positioned to a prescribed position. The shifting device 600 shifts the can cover 1 to the score- residual measuring instrument 500. The measuring instrument 500 measures the depth of the score of the can cover 1.
