Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To provide the subject farming method preventing weed growth with no need of conventional rice seedling transplantation system so called requiring much labor, also capable of accomplishing marked increase in rice yield. CONSTITUTION: In order to kill down weeds, the whole surface of a paddy field is covered with a sheet of water-resistant paper (with such moderate water resistance as to be disintegrable in the paddy field within about 2-3 months) or a sheet of water-resistant paper numerously perforated so as to be impassable for weed buds. On this sheet of water-resistant paper, a considerable number of unhulled rice grains are stably arranged and fixed in a mutually spaced fashion as widely as possible and so as not to restrain the buds and roots germinated from the unhulled rice grains from extending toward the sky and into the ground to effect minimizing mutual interference of the resultant seedlings, thus enabling to reduce the labor involved in rice crop and to markedly increase rice yield. |
