Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to light a discharge lamp by an electronic ballast such as enabling flickerless stable lamp lighting, and a lighting circuit device of a discharge lamp to enable flickerless lamp lighting by using a lighting parameter optimally adjusted to respective lamps. SOLUTION: In this lamp lighting period, a test phase to detect an AC frequency desirable for stable lamp lighting by being positioned in a preimparted frequency range, is automatically performed by a ballast. After this test phase finishes, only the AC frequency desirable for stable lamp lighting is used for frequency-modulated lighting. This lighting method is performed by a programmable microcontroller MC incorporated into a circuit device. This microcontroller MC monitors a lamp electric current during a test lighting period, and generates a pulse width modulating signal to drive an inverter WR.
