Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To integrate a phase modulator and a sensing coil, and provide a miniaturized and space-saved phase modulation type optical-fiber gyro. CONSTITUTION: An optical-fiber 21 is wound around a piezo-element 20 a few times, and a phase modulation coil 211 is constituted in a phase modulation type optical fiber gyro equipped with a phase modulator for expanding and contracting the optical fiber 21 by winding the optical fiber 21 around the piezo element 20, applying voltage and vibrating the piezo element 20. Furthermore, the optical fiber 21 is wound therearound in a few layers through a cushion member 33 absorbing mechanical vibration and a sensing coil 6 is constituted.
