Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To produce a fiber formed body useful as a filter, drain material, etc., excellent in pressure resistance, cushioning property, shape retainability, etc., by thermally fusing fiber mixed webs different in fineness and forming a density gradient in thickness direction. CONSTITUTION: This fiber formed body is oblained by laminating fiber-mixed webs different in fineness in randomly arranged state and bonding and fixing contact points of fibers. A web layer having fine fineness is mainly arranged on either one side of thickness direction and a web layer having coarse fineness is mainly arranged on other side and a density gradient is continuously formed between both web layers to provide the objective fiber formed body excellent also in filtering function and back washing property.
