INFANT INCUBATOR MATTRESS TILTING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automatically maintaining of a baby at any selected angle of tilt by a method wherein a linkage is moved sideways by the operation of a hand knob to be converted to a rotary motion of a bend rod through a lever arm and a bed for the baby is moved upward or sideways by turning a lead screw to select the angle of inclination. SOLUTION: When an operator turns a hand knob 58 in the direction of the arrow C, a lead screw 54 is rotated to move a lead screw slide 46 sideways along a slide screw slide bearing 50 and a link 42 also moves sideways in the direction of the arrow B. With the lateral movement of the link 42, a key 34 turns in the direction of the arrow D by an offset distance of a lever arm 38. When the key 34 turns, a link part with a bend rod 28 rotates the bend rod 28 along the axis of rotation and as the bend rod 28 is fitted into a long and thin hole 26 of a bed lifter 20, the bed lifter 20 is rotated thereby raising or lowering a bed for the baby according to the direction of turning the hand knob 58.
