CALCULATING DEVICE FOR WEIGHT OF PICTURE ELEMENT

PURPOSE: To provide a calculating device for the weight of picture elements in picture gradation processing which gives a gradation effect corresponding to the focusing point like a picture photographed by a camera with respect to a three-dimensional CG picture. CONSTITUTION: A size output part 1 for the gradation range of reference picture elements outputs the size 4 of the gradation range of reference picture elements. A reference picture element address output part 2 outputs a reference picture element address 5 and a calculation picture element address output part 3 outputs a calculation picture element address 6. A picture element distance vector calculation part 7 calculates a picture element distance vector 8 from these adresses. An intersection area calculation part 9 outputs an intersection area 11 and a weight calculation part 10 integrates the size 4 of the gradation range of the reference picture element and the intersection area 11 to calculate the weight 12 of the reference picture element to the calculated picture element and outputs it.
