DOCUMENT PROCESSOR AND DISPLAY METHOD FOR PREPARED DOCUMENT

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of document preparing work by displaying the converted results corresponding to an inputted reading character string and displaying word information concerning a candidate selected out of them. CONSTITUTION: When reading to execute Japanese syllabary (KANA)/Chinese (KANJI) converting processing is inputted from the reading input key of a keyboard 101 and a converting key is inputted, a dictionary 107 for word information retrieval is retrieved to show whether there is a relevant word in the inputted reading character string or not and that word is registered on a candidate network buffer 108. In converted candidate preparing processing, the converted candidates of the first candidate and a selected candidate are prepared from the candidate network buffer 108. The converted candidates are displayed on a screen 103 as candidate display. When a candidate is selected by inputting a word information retrieval key, word information possessing is performed for the displayed candidates, candidates following the selected candidate are prepared, and word information is displayed in a word information display area. Therefore, KANA/KANJI conversion can be executed while confirming how to use the converted candidates of homonyms.
