BURNER DEVICE

PURPOSE: To effectively reduce NOX with a simple structure by surrounding the periphery of a porous cylinder by a heat receiver at a distance of bringing it into contact with the end of a fire injected from the pores of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A water heater has a porous cylinder 10 closed at its end face 11 and having many pores 12 at the sidewall at the center, and has a heat receiver 50 at the periphery of the cylinder 10 so as to surround the cylinder 10. The receiver 50 has a double cylindrical jacket 51 surrounding the cylinder 10, a water supply port 52 and a discharge port 53 to the jacket. An opening 54 for discharging gas after burning is provided at the end of the jacket 51, and its base end is coupled to the base 60 of the device. The jacket 51 is so decided at its size that the radial inside surface is brought into contact with the end of a fire F to be injected from the pores, and so formed of a metal such as iron, stainless steel, etc., or other good thermal conductor as to easily absorb the heat of the fire.
