Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To enable exact measurement even for raw material measurement at short time intervals according to descending of a consumable electrode by providing a chute for charging a part of raw materials to the molten pool in a vacuum arc melting furnace with a pressure equalizing pipe in its specific position. CONSTITUTION: While the consumable electrode 3 in the vacuum arc melting furnace 1 is lowered by a device 2, the electrode is melted with an arc and the other part of the raw materials are charged from a hopper 5 by an automatic charging device 6 through the chute 7 into the molten pool 4, by which the raw materials are melted. The weights of the raw materials remaining in the hopper 5 and the automatic charging device 6 are momentarily measured by a load cell 8 and these weight signals are inputted to a control section 9. The pressure equalizing pipe 11 of the same diameter communicating with the chute 7 is connected to the position symmetrical with a connecting port 7a of the chute 7 to charging device 6 of this device, by which the measurement error of the raw materials generated by a fluctuation in the differential pressure between the atm. pressure and the inner pressure in the furnace 1 is eliminated. The exact measurement of the raw materials is made possible even in the raw material measurement at the short time intervals according to the descending of the consumable electrode 3. The exact raw material charging is thus executed. |
