AUTOMATIC EXCHANGE

PURPOSE: To provide an automatic exchange capable of suitably coping with the case of setting the large volume of lines or the like. CONSTITUTION: Line free/engagement checking means 109 and 110 check whether it is a free state capable of new setting or an engaged state incapable of that for all the lines which can be turned to an exchanging object by a line device when the free/engagement information of the lines is requested from an external device 116 and a line free/engagement information informing means 111 transfers the free/engagement checked result to the external device. A setting information storage and management means 107 stores and manages the setting information of the plural lines supplied from the external device for batch setting, a stored information decomposing means 106 takes out each setting information for one line from the stored and managed setting information for the plural lines and a stored information analyzing means 105 analyzes the taken-out setting information for one line and confirms the consistency of the setting information. When the setting information is consistent, a line setting means 104 makes the line device 102 execute line setting corresponding to the setting information.
