WESTERN STYLE TOILET

PURPOSE:To provide a western style toilet provided with a function to assist a standing up operation from sitting down state for a person handicapped in a waist or knee. CONSTITUTION:A toilet seat 4 is constituted of a base part 4a supported pivotally on a toilet main body 2 so as to be freely raised up/pulled down, and a seat part 4b which can be freely raised up from and pulled down to the base part 4a, and the seat part 4b is connected to the base part 4a via repulsive devices 10 in which cylindrical rubber 16 is force-fitted to metallic inner and outer frames 14, 12. The seat part 4b is pressed in a direction to be inclined at nearly 30 deg. to the base part 4a by the repulsive force of the repulsive devices 10, and the standing up operation of the person, handicapped in waist or knee, sitting on the seat part 4b can be assisted by such pressing force.
