Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To exchange a microprogram without stopping the processing by automatically recognizing the identifiers of an I/O control board and the microprogram when loading the microprogram into the I/O control board. CONSTITUTION: An I/O control board 201 is provided with a processor 202 for executing the microprogram in order to control I/O, memory 205 and non- volatile memory 204 required for operating the microprogram and the non- volatile memory 204 is provided with a board recognizing means 207 for storing a recognition number 210 of the I/O control board and the respective information of a board version 211 and an initial program 208. This initial program 208 is loaded on the memory 205 and started when the power source of the I/O control board 201 is turned on, and controls the load and start of the microprogram. Then, a program suitable for this I/O control board is selected out of plural kinds of microprograms and is loaded into the I/O control board 201.
