SALT-STRESS MITIGATION AGENT FOR PLANT AND SALT-STRESS MITIGATION OF PLANT USING THE AGENT

PURPOSE: To provide a salt-stress mitigation agent for plant, containing a deproteinized supernatant of alfalfa green leaf as an active component, mitigating the growth stress induced by salt and effective for satisfactorily growing a plant. CONSTITUTION: This mitigation agent contains a supernatant discharged in the extraction of a green leaf protein from alfalfa, i.e., brown juice as an active component. The brown juice is used as the salt-stress mitigation agent for plant as it is or a fraction separated from the brown juice by a proper means can be used as an active component for the salt-stress mitigation agent for plant. The salt-stress mitigation agent is extremely useful for increasing the production of crop in a region liable to cause the salt damage by the application of a large amount of chemical fertilizers, e.g. in a salt-accumulated soil in especially agriculture under structure, in an area near seashore or a dry land. The salt-stress mitigation agent is applied at a rate of 0.1-10ml/kg to the soil or artificial medium for the cultivation of plant.
