TELESCOPIC DUST COVER INSTALLATION FOR MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: To provide a telescopic dust cover installation adjusted to high speeds, which is so constituted that each dust cover is normally extended/moved in piles with required durability maintained without being accompanied by impact and noise even if each mobile member is made high in feed speed and acceleration. CONSTITUTION: A telescopic structure includes at least three dust covers, one moving end dust cover 5a located at one end section of them is fixed to one side section of the mobile member of a machine tool so as to be connected, and a fixed end dust cover 5b located at the other end of them is fixed to the stationary side member 1 of the machine tool so as to be connected, and a reduction gear 19 provided with an input pinion 23 and an output pinion 27, is mounted to an intermediate dust covers 5a and 5d located at the middle of them. Besides, a toothed drive belt 9 in a loop shape, which is run and moved in a circulating manner as a mobile member 3 is moved so as to be meshed with the input pinion 23, is fixed to the mobile member or the moving end dust cover 5a so as to be connected, and a stationary rack 29 to be meshed with the output pinion 27 is fixedly disposed at the stationary side member.
