Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To prevent any structural member of a machine tool such as a bed and a table from being deformed even if great attraction force acts on a space between a primary side guide member and secondary side guide member, and apply a feed screw type feed motion to the machine tool with no extensive design change made thereto. CONSTITUTION: The feed motion of a machine tool linearly driving a moving side member 3 with respect to stationary side members 1, is provided with a secondary side linear motor member 11 in a cylindrical or a round bar shape which is fixedly supported by the stationary member 1 at its both end sections, and is extended to the linearly moving direction of the moving side member 3, and with a primary side linear motor member 15 in a cylindrical shape equipped with a primary coil 17 in a cylindrical shape which is loosely fitted in the secondary side linear motor member 11 in such a way that it can be displaced in the axial direction, and encloses the whole circumference of the secondary side linear motor member 11.
