FEED DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: To eliminate the deformation of bed and a table due to the magnetic vertical force of a linear motor, reduce a table weight acting on the bed when the table is moved, and thereby reduce the burden of a guide section for supporting the table and a driving force for feeding the table. CONSTITUTION: In the feed motion for a machine tool where a table 5 is provided over the guide surface of the table formed in the upper surface of a bed 1, either one of the primary side member 7 or the secondary side member of a linear motor is mounted on the inclined mounting surface section 15 of the bed 1, and the table 5 is provided with an inclined mounting surface section 19 faced to the inclined mounting surface section 15 of the bed 1. And the other side of the primary side member 7 or the secondary side member 9 is mounted on the inclined mounting surface section 19 while being faced to the primary side member 7 or the secondary side member 9 which is mounted on the bed 1. Attraction force acting on a space between the primary side member 7 and the secondary side member 9 due to the magnetic vertical force of the linear vertical force acts as an upward vertical force.
