RECORDING METHOD FOR RECEPTION DATA BY PROTOCOL ANALIZER

PURPOSE: To provide the reception data recording method for a protocol analyzer which can precisely record/display monitored data on a communication line at high speed. CONSTITUTION: The protocol analyzer 4 is connected to a digital line DL. A protocol which a user designates from a keyboard 17 is set in a communication controller 20. The communication controller 20 monitors a control line on the digital line DL and line data based on the protocol. Line data which are taken in are stored in HD13M in block units. CPU 10M previously stores the protocol, taken-in start time and the initial value of the control line into a block header. The state of the control line and line data are successively read from the communication controller 20 and the state change of the control line, line data and time information are sequentially stored into the take-in data part of a block.
