Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To easily monitor RAM data in an electronic control unit for controlling a controlled target such as an electronic control type engine while speeding up a controlling CPU in the electronic control unit in the case of monitoring the RAM data from an external personal computer. CONSTITUTION: A pair of DPRAMs 7, 27 to be accessed from both of a monitoring CPU in the personal computer 30 and a controlling CPU 3 in the electronic control unit 1 are connected between the computer 30 and the unit 1, a monitoring condition for the DPRAMs 7, 27 is set up from the computer 30 and read out by the CPU 3, the monitor addresses of the DPRMs 7, 27 are read out by the CPU 3, RAM data are written in data areas of the DPRAMs 7, 27, and then the monitor data of the DPRAMs 7, 27 are read out by the monitoring CPU in the computer 30.
