Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a dangerous object in safety through a port in the floor of a containment into a storage vessel having open top supported on a lift cart such that it can be positioned under the port while being aligned accurately in the axial direction and moved vertically toward the port or from the port. SOLUTION: A port is composed of a vertical flange, i.e., surrounding wall ring 12, being set on the floor of a containment. The port can be closed by a hermetic sealing cover 29 which can be engaged hermetically with the circumference of port in the containment. Furthermore, the port is closed alternately by a robust plastic bag partially contained in a storage vessel supported on a lift cart 20 while being supported by a hermetic sealing ring to be engaged with the port. A continuous bag is positioned under the port and lifted to establish hermetic seal with respect to the port. It is then filled, sealed hermetically, cut down from the port and taken out for permanent preservation.
