Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a fluid supporting device for restraining meandering of a strip and traveling in stable without damaging the strip. CONSTITUTION: A fluid supporting device comprises a fluid supporting roller 10 for supporting afloated a strip winded around the roller by fluid, a belt driving roller 25 disposed apart from the fluid supporting roller 10 and a pair of belts 1 hold on surfaces of the both rollers so as to held the strip therebetween. At least the roller surface of the fluid supporting roller 10 on which the belt 1 is winded and hanged is rotatably formed and the device has a mechanism for shifting the winded and hanged belt 1 to roller's circumferential direction according to the movement of the strip and the device also has a shifting mechanism for the belt 1 to a roller shaft 12 direction.
