DEVICE FOR ROLLER-CORRECTING RAIL

PURPOSE: To reduce or prevent the development of local dent of the head part of a rail by constituting correcting rolls with the upper roll which abuts on R (round) part of the head part of the rail and has the recessed part so as not to abut on the specific interval of the head part of the rail while centering the head top. CONSTITUTION: The correcting rolls is constituted with a part of the upper correcting roll 3b or the whole roll body which abuts on the R part of the head part 5d of the rail and has a collar 3c so as not to abut the interval of 15-65% of the head part width 5e of the rail while centering the head top 5a. Such the upper correcting roll 3b is used, and when the biting side end part at the rail is in the condition of running onto a first lower correcting roll, the shocking load acted to the head top 5a at the local head part is not directly acted to the head top 5a, and therefore, since the local dent is reduced or the development thereof can be prevented, after roller correction, the rail can stably be produced without correcting and the productivity of the rail can remarkably be improved.
