Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a ceramic sintered body used in a high-pressure discharge lamp, and having high loading capacity, and provide a manufacturing method of the same. CONSTITUTION: In a high-pressure discharge lamp 1 having a ceramic discharge tube 6, the ceramic discharge tube 6 is manufactured by using alumina in which 100-800 ppm of MgO, 200-1200 ppm of ZrO2 , and 10-300 ppm Y2 O3 are added. Whereby the loading capacity of the ceramic discharge lamp can be improved.
