Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide the method which verifies whether an external character code is correct or not and the submission system to which this method is applied by generating a log file where information specifying the data of the check object and the external character code are taken as data in the case that data of the verification object is discriminated as an external character but is not entered in an external character table. CONSTITUTION: First, it is retrieved whether read-in field data is to be printed out or not and whether the external character is entered in the external character table or not (S4 to S6). If it is not entered there, the log file where information specifying the field data and the external code are taken as data is generated (S7 and S9). Further, an error record file where record data having this field data is taken as data is generated (S10). Next, it is discriminated whether it is the last record of the record file or not (S11), and the log file is outputted to a CRT, a printer, or the like in the case of the last record (S12). An operator is made select the definition of the external character code or the end of verification of submission data.
