Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To decrease flare light at the time of image reconstruction by arranging polarization selective optical elements for allowing the transmission of only the P component polarized light on the surface of a hologram facing an observer and the surface on the side opposite thereto. CONSTITUTION: The reflection type volumetric hologram 2 consisting of a photopolymer material is laminated on the front surface of a transparent glass substrate 1. A liquid crystal light emitting display device exists below the observer 5 side of the hologram 2 surface and a ray flux 4 is projected so as to be made incident at an angle θ4 with the hologram 2 surface, is reflected and diffracted within the hologram 2 through the glass substrate 1 and is advanced from the glass substrate 1 toward the observer 5 at an angle θ5. Such polarization selective films 8 which allow the transmission of only the P component polarized light are laminated on the surface of the hologram 2 facing the observer 5 and the surface of the side opposite thereto. At this time, the ray flux 7 emitted from external light 6 is made onto the ray flux of only the P component by the polarization selective films 8 if the incident angle θ6 on the hologram 2 surface satisfies θ6 =θ4 and, therefore, the Brewster angle is satisfied on the surface of the glass substrate 1 and consequently the light is hardly reflected. |
