CONSTITUTION: At the time or reception at code data in the JBIG encoding system, data is written in a buffer memory 11 and is written in a buffer memory 12; and when data is written up to the position of the 8th byte in the buffer memory 12, data in the buffer memory no is encoded. When the mast of data appears thereafter, information in a determined position from the last is taken as information of the subscanning length, and the decoding processing is executed based on this information.
