TRAFFIC MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: To measure traffic between a radio station and mobile terminal equipment without directly connecting the instrument to a mobile communication network. CONSTITUTION: An antenna 10 receives radio waves to be exchanged between the mobile terminal equipment and the base station and a wide band electric field strength measuring part 11 measures the electric field strength level of the received radio wave for each used channel number. A data storage part 12 samples the measured result every prescribed sampling period and a data analysis processing part 13 analyzes the sampling result, collects the time to use the radio wave and the number of used channels and finds traffic. Thus, since it is not necessary to directly connect the configuration itself to the mobile communication network, even for a place where radio waves are supplied from a booster subjected to no call processing, traffic at that place can be measured.
