CUTTING TOOL CORRECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To easily perform cutting tool replacing operation in a short time by supplying a switching command corresponding to a cutting tool to be used from now when the cutting tool is replaced, reading out the current position of the cutting tool corresponding to the switching command, and outputting a movement command to a pulse motor which moves the edge to the read current position. CONSTITUTION: The RAM 27 of a memory is equipped with a current position register 50A for a cutting tool A and a current position register 50B for a cutting tool B corresponding to the cutting tools A and B which are different in edge diameter. When the tools A or B is replaced, an operator inputs a proper switching command corresponding to the tool A or B to be used from now through a keyboard 32, reads the current position out of the current position register 50A or 50B for the tool A or B, and outputs the movement command to the pulse motor 19 so as to move the edge to the current position. Consequently, the replacing operation of the tools A and B can easily be performed in a short time.
