METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STICKING RUBBING CLOTH FOR ORIENTATION TREATMENT OF LIQUID CRYSTAL CELL AND DOUBLE COATED ADHESIVE SHEET USED FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: To easily, rapidly and mechanically stuck a double coated adhesive tape and rubbing cloth to a rubbing roller without generating wrinkles, etc., by providing the device with a positioning member, base part, holding part and lifting part. CONSTITUTION: The double coated adhesive sheet S is first set on the front surface 5 of a base 3 and a release paper is removed. The front end of the sheet S supported by a receiving roller 13 is pressed down under prescribed pressurizing force by the rubbing roller R and is stuck to the roller R (a) when a lever for vertically moving operation is rotated downward. The roller R is then rotated 360 deg. under this pressing down state, by which the sheet S is completely and well stuck to the outer peripheral surface of the roller R (b). The roller R is once risen and the release paper on the outer side is peeled. The rubbing cloth C is set on the front surface 5 of the base and the roller R is lowered. The front end of the cloth C is thus stuck to the roller R by the effect of the sheet S on the outer periphery thereof (C) and is similarly well stuck to the roller R.
