CONSTITUTION: A push plate 2 is moved forward with a driving cylinder device 3 while revolving a screw auger 5 with a motor 6. At the time, since the screw auger 5 is supported on the push plate 2 in a state to have rattles to a certain extent in the direction of the driving, and when resistance is applied to an excavation head 12 provided to the front end of the screw auger 5, the screw auger 5 is pushed in a shaft 1 side. It runs against the front end of a pilot pipe 10, and when usual excavation is made, since the screw auger 5 is revolved, earth and sand is supplied toward the inside of a casing 4 from the inside circumference of the pilot pipe 10, and the excavation head 12 and the front end of the pilot pipe 10 are properly balanced with each other through earth and sand. Accordingly, excavation resistance is subsequently transferred from earth and sand to the casing 4, and driving resistance acting on the pilot pipe 10 is grasped by detecting the action force with a load meter 20. |
