TUFTING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To obtain a tufting device having small space between hollow needles in the direction of width of a substrate, short movement distance in the direction of width of the substrate and high productivity by arranging plural needle lines of hollow needles in the lengthwise direction of the substrate and shifting positions of adjoining needle lines in the direction of width of the substrate only by a specific size. CONSTITUTION: Needle lines 3 formed by arranging a great number of hollow needles 2 at equal intervals in the direction of width of a substrate are laid in plural lines in the lengthwise direction of the substrate. Positions of adjoining needle lines are successively shifted in the direction of width of the substrate only by a size obtained by dividing the pitch of the hollow needles by the number of the needle lines and the distance for moving the substrate in the direction of width is shortened.
