Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To provide a lighting system of an elevator by which a car stopping position when a passenger is confined in a car can be confirmed in a short time and safety at rescue time can be secured. CONSTITUTION: A lighting system of an elevator is provided with a confinement detecting device 10 to detect that a passenger is confined in a car and illumination lighting devices 10a2 and 10a3 to light illuminating lamps 1L1, 1L2 and 1L3 when this confinement detecting device 10 detects confinement of the passenger.
