HOPPER WITH DUST COLLECTING FUNCTION FOR SCATTERED DUST

PURPOSE: To provide a hopper having a dust collecting function of scattered dust for preventing environmental pollution and advantageously recovering a scattered raw material when it is used for the cargo handing of a powdery and granular material such as iron ore. CONSTITUTION: Side walls 8A-8D of a hopper 7 storing a powdery and granular raw material are formed low on one side and high on the other side, baffle plates 2A-2D protruded obliquely downward to the side wall inside from the side wall upper end section are provided on the four peripheries, and windbreaking plates 3A-3D suspended from the tips of the baffle plates 2A-2D are provided at the center opening section 5 of the hopper 7. A dust collecting port 4 formed with two plates face to face into a y-shaped or v-shaped cross section is provided on one side, and at least one of two mating plates is made openable in this hopper 7. No environmental pollution occurs in the cargo handling of the powdery and granular material, the scattered raw material can be advantageously recovered, and the yield can be improved.
