CONTAINER FOR EYE LOTION

PURPOSE: To prevent the contamination of eye lotion with microorganisms by incorporating a difficulty water-soluble antibacterial agent in at least the nozzle part of an eye lotion container. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial agent having a solubility of at most 30mg/ml with respect to water at 20 deg., e.g. difficulty water-soluble salts of biguanide compounds, is incorporated in at least the nozzle part of an eye lotion container consisting of a high-molecular material. By way of example, the process of incorporating antibacterial agent in the contain includes a method of injection molding antibacterial agent-containing resin, a method of coating the surface of the nozzle part with an antibacterial agent-including high-molecular material, a method wherein antibacterial agent is dispersed in liquid resin, such a resin is charged in a mold and a cross-linking agent is thereafter added thereto for hardening and a method wherein antibacterial agent is dispersed in a monomer solution, the monomer is charged in a mold and it is thereafter polymerized. The length of the nozzle part is at least 5mm, preferably at least 1cm, and the length of at least 2cm is particularly desirable. The amount of antibacterial agent contained in the high-molecular material is 0.01-10wt.%, preferably 0.1-5wt.%.
