Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an EEPROM data rewrite controller capable of eliminating the data storage area of an EEPROM for rewriting the data and securing high reliability without performing complex processing for rewrite. CONSTITUTION: An electronic controller for an on-vehicle engine controls an actuator provided on a fuel injection pump, and is constituted so as to control the fuel injection amount and the fuel injection time of a diesel engine. A CPU 10 detects the exchange of a battery 1 by using a stand-by bit for showing the state of a stand-by voltage to a back-up RAM 14. Then, when a vehicle speed is a prescribed value or above, and the number of revolution of engine is the prescribed value or above after the battery is exchanged, the data written in the EEPROM 7 are read out, and the read out data are written in the EEPROM 7 again.
