Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a light beam scanning device which reduces noises due to piping without lowering optical characteristics. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a cylindrical partition member 10 which surrounds the periphery of a rotary polygon mirror 4, a window part W which is formed in the partition member 10 and has its opening width 1 made to correspond to a range where incident laser light 2a made incident on the rotary polygon mirror 4 and reflected laser light 2b reflected by the rotary polygon mirror 4 pass, and a transparent plate 11 which seals the window part W. The wind generated by the surfaces of the rotary polygon mirror 4 rotates in the nearly circular space formed of the partition member 10 and transparent plate 11 to become a smooth flow.
