Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain an industrial germicide composition presenting excellent antimicrobial activity through synergistic effect and capable of reducing its amount to be used by combining conventional industrial germicide(s) with higher saturated or unsaturated fatty acid(s) or oil-and-fat. CONSTITUTION: The new industrial germicide composition excellent in antimicrobial activity by combining industrial germicide(s) with at least one kind selected from among 10-30C saturated and unsaturated higher fatty acids and oil-and-fat containing such acids as acid components. The industrial germicide is at least one kind selected from among halocyanoacetamide compounds, halonitro compounds and isothiazolone compounds. The other component is at least one kind selected from among α-linolenic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, myristic acid, lauric acid, linseed oil and caster oil. It is preferable that the weight ratio of the former component to the latter be (5:1) to (1:5). This composition is applicable to such areas as the service water systems of the paper and pulp industry, water-based coatings, pastes and leathers.
