Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a machine tool capable of reducing a required space in the transverse direction required in a scope of a tool exchanger and being constituted simply from the viewpoint of design irrespective of the small space. CONSTITUTION: A machine tool 10 is rotatably supported in a main spindle pipe 13 and has a main spindle 14 including receive holes 15 receiving tool holders 16, 17. Furthermore, a tool magazine holding many tool holders is provided. In addition, a tool exchanger 18 having at least two gripping arms 21, 22 transferring the tool holders 16, 17 between each transfer position 23 in a scope of tool magazine and a common main spindle position 24 below the receive hole 15 is provided.
