METHOD FOR FILLING WITH LIQUID DEVELOPER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

PURPOSE: To reduce the fluctuation of toner concentration and to obtain the stable reproducibility of an image by filling with enriched solution and diluted solution by a fixed amount corresponding to throughput or image density data in the midst of developing processing and further filling with the diluted solution in terms of liquid level filling based on information from a liquid level sensor after stopping a pump. CONSTITUTION: Developer is carried to a developing part 1 from a developer tank 2 by a toner pump 8, and the developer which is not consumed in development is processed to be returned to the tank 2 again while circulating in a developing device. In the midst of developing processing, the tank 2 is filled with the enriched solution from an enriched solution filling pump 10 and the diluted solution from a diluted solution filling pump 11 based on the throughput or the density data, respectively. After stopping the liquid feeding pump 8 for the developing part 1, the tank 2 is filled with the diluted solution based on the information from the liquid level sensor 9 in the developer tank. Namely, the tank 2 is filled by a fixed amount in accordance with the throughput or the density data, and filled in terms of liquid level filling for the decrease amount of solvent, which is not predicted based on the throughput, such as evaporation.
