EMERGENCY WATER DISCHARGING VALVE FOR ELECTRICAL HOT WATER HEATER

PURPOSE:To enable either cold water or hot water within a tank of an electrical hot water heater to be utilized as emergency water by a method wherein an emergency discharging water valve is connected at a position within a water feeding pipe of the electrical hot water heater and also at a position slightly higher than a heater within the tank. CONSTITUTION:An emergency discharging water valve 100 is connected at a position within a water supplying pipe of an electrical hot water heater and also at a position slightly higher than a heater 230 within a tank 210. In the case that it is necessary to use water within the tank 210 or the like, a three-way valve of a changing-over valve 20a is rotated to cause an inner side of the tank 210 to communicate with a branch pipe 120a of a main body 10 of the valve and concurrently a lever installed in the water supplying pipe passage is operated to enable the surrounding air to enter the tank 210. Under this condition, if a water stopper valve 30 arranged at the branch pipe part 12 is rotated in a releasing direction, water remaining within the tank 210 is discharged from an extremity end of the branch pipe part 12 under an influence of pressure of the water stored in the tank 210 and so the water can be utilized as emergency water.
