Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To reduce an amount of a gas generating agent in a gas generating vessel by allowing sodium azide to be not incorporated, allowing a harmful carbon monoxide to be not generated substantially and allowing an amount of formed gas to be enlarged and to reduce and amount of a cooling agent and to miniaturize the gas generating vessel by reducing combusion temp. CONSTITUTION: The agent is incorporated with an oxidizing agent consisting of hydrazodicarbonamide and oxoacid salt and at least one kind cooling agent selected among a sulfate hydrate, nitride hydrate, carbonate, carbonate hydrate, hydroxide and hydroxide hydrate of III, IV, V and VI period metal as a main component. An oxohalogenate of alkali metal is suitable as the oxidizing agent. And 10-42wt.% hydrazodicarbonamide, 55-87wt.% oxidizing agent and 3-35wt.% cooling agent are incorporated in the gas generating agent.
