Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To obtain a cushioning material for packing which can be produced at a low cost, whose shock absorptivity remains unabated for the second time and subsequently, and which can easily be suited to a diversity of packing in kind by winding a strip of corrugated cardboard into a roll and fixing it in shape with a tape. CONSTITUTION: A cushioning material for packing 6 is formed of a strip of a corrugated cardboard 4 and in a roll by winding the strip 4. A tape 5 of paper is wound on the roll of the corrugated cardboard 4 and by sticking the ends of the tape 5 together by adhesion the roll of the corrugated cardboard 4 is fixed in the wound shape. When used, one or more cushioning materials of this kind are placed on the periphery of an object 7 and by placing the object 7 in a packing box 8 as it is the object 7 is protected against shocks. The cushioning material 6 can be made available easily in a plurality of kinds distinguished by the length to which the corrugated cardboard 4 is cut and by the count of the winding and can easily be suited to a diversity of packing in kind.
