DEVICE FOR DRAWING OUT CAST TUBE

PURPOSE: To detect the development of slippage between a clamping device and a tube and to suitably deal with this slippage by detecting the distance between a carriage and the clamped tube and providing a means for detecting the distance exceeding a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION: In the case of developing such defective situation that the clamp of the inner surface of the tube 28 is loose, the slippage between the clamping device 26 and the inner surface of the tube 28 is developed. Then, though the carriage 24 is shifted, the tube 28 is not drawn out of a casting machine, and the distance between the carriage 24 and the end surface 36 of the tube 28 gets distant. At this time, a detecting rod 44 is kept in contact with the end surface 36 of the tube 28 by pushing action of a spring 50. By this constitution, the distance between the carriage 24 and the end surface 36 of the tube 28 is gradually enlarged, and at the time it exceeds a prescribed value, the defective clamping condition is detected by the separation of the rear end part 66 of the detecting rod 44 from the limit switch 64. In this case, the operation of the clamping device 26 is stopped and the clamping operation is executed again by approaching the carriage 24 to the casting machine again.
